Similar as described in the outline at hodey, we scanned parts of bodies with a special camera which is installed on an Ipad. You have to surround the object and your programm (fusion360) will get the custom-fit sketch in a very fast way
The software for the scanner is called Sense
it can automatically measure distances (2 lenses). It builds your scanned object in real size with all measurements
